About Dan

My view of massage therapy is that I, the therapist, work with you, the patient, to make space in your system so that you can heal yourself. Whether it's through deep tissue massage, myofascial release, crainiosacral therapy, breathing or exercise, we will be working together to make space for your innate health and well being to arise. In my experience each of us knows, literally in our bodies, what we need to function at our best. Our work together is about finding the blockages that you have picked up along the way and releasing them so that your system can bring itself into optimal balance.

All my treatments are specific to each individual. When we have time booked together I am 100% there for you and I will do everything in my power to help you. I look forward to finding out how I can do that. I look forward to getting to know you.

Now a bit about me. I'm originally from New York City. I moved here for UBC but I found university wasn't for me. I'm glad I went though because I met my lovely wife Sarah there. I wanted to study something practical, hands on, that helps people. After the first open house at massage college I knew I had found my calling. I loved discovering the workings of the human body and I'm still fascinated by it every day. When I graduated in 2004 with Vienna, the other RMT at City Wellness Centre, they said I would be back. They were right. When I'm not here at the clinic I'll be out at the school teaching this fall.

My practice of massage therapy is supported and informed by my own personal pursuit of yoga, tai chi and cycling.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions and let me know if there's any way I can help make this transition as smooth as possible for you. I'm always open to communication during your treatments so feel free to consult me anytime at 604-871-9100 or by email on this site and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
